Most people are not terribly concerned about what they drink, especially when it comes to what quenches their thirst. How it affects their health is not given any consideration. A variety of sweet concoctions and  chemical cocktails will be had daily without thought or question as to the harm they will cause. I could go on and on about the dangers of everything out there that is drinkable, but for this writing I will limit it to water. Water, which makes up 90% of our blood, should be our main source of fluid to drink.

          There are several types of water available for us to drink, some of the common ones being mineral water, municipal water, distilled water and gaining popularity, reverse osmosis water. Let me explain the difference;

         1.  Mineral water is any water that contains inorganic minerals taken up in solution from the earth. These waters come from many sources such as wells and springs, which is where much of our bottled water comes from. The amount of minerals will vary depending on the source.

         2.  Municipal water is water from a reservoir that is piped to our homes underground. This is also mineralized water, the difference being that this water usually contains chemical additives like chlorine and fluoride.

         3.  Then there is distilled water, which has been boiled to the point where steam rises, then is captured and collected in a holding tank ready to drink. Distilling removes all minerals, chemicals and other pollutants. Distilled water is water in its purest form.

         4.  Water that has been filtered by reverse osmosis is also finding its way into the bottle water category and through systems installed under kitchen sinks. It is very close to being as pure as distilled but not 100% like distilled.

There are those who advocate each one of these types of water and espouse their benefits. Lets look at each one in more detail and then decide.

Those in favor of mineral water say that it is health promoting because the body needs the minerals in the water. The fact is that the minerals in this type of water are inorganic and the human body cannot make use of inorganic minerals. For instance, iron is very much needed by the human body, but if taken in its inorganic form is a poison. The same goes for iodine; in its inorganic form it bears the sign of the skull and crossbones.

This is true for all inorganic minerals. In most cases the inorganic minerals in this type of water are not great enough to cause death but they are still a poison. They slowly accumulate and cause health problems. A poison is a poison no mater how small.

Since the body cannot use inorganic minerals it throws them back into the bloodstream in the attempt to eliminate them. While in the circulatory system these raw minerals combine with cholesterol to form hardened plaques on the artery walls causing cardiovascular problems commonly referred to as hardening of the arteries, or heart disease, and further, combine with uric acid and are deposited in the joints causing arthritic and rheumatic conditions.

As a side note: The only way minerals can be used by the human body is by consuming them in their organic form. The transformation of a mineral from inorganic to an organic form can only be done through the plant kingdom.

The plants and trees take the inorganic minerals from the soil and convert them into an organic form within, making them usable by the human body by consuming the edible vegetables and fruit, nuts and seeds.

Eating a variety of fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds in their raw state will supply all the usable minerals the body will need. I underline the word raw because if these foods are cooked the organic minerals will return to their inorganic state causing them to be body clogging inorganic minerals again.

There is a pathological character to water with inorganic minerals. If you were to have your white blood cell count tested six hours after you’ve had your last food and water, it should be about 6,000 per milliliter. Then, drink a tall glass of mineral water. The white corpuscle count will begin to rise, often doubling the normal rate. Cooked foods will do the same due to the heat changing the organic minerals back to an inorganic state.

This rise of the white blood count is referred to as leukocytosis. The white blood cells are the body’s first line of defense, like an army, attacking any harmful elements in our blood. In this case the inorganic minerals.

Water containing no minerals, and raw food will not cause leukocytosis. The lack of minerals in mineral free water and the presence of organic minerals in raw food will not stir up any excitement with the white blood cells because there is no harm being done.

Now to add insult to injury, lets take a look at municipal water, not only does it contain inorganic minerals, it has the added assault of having the chemicals chlorine and fluoride added to it. One can understand the use of chlorine in our water supply to kill off any harmful bacteria. If you filter this water through a carbon filter the chlorine can easily be removed.

This is not the case against fluoride. Fluoride is a deadly chemical perpetrated on us by the aluminum industry. This deadly chemical is a by-product of the aluminum manufacturing industry and is a hazardous waste. It has been used as the main ingredient in rat poison.

Fluoride combines with many minerals and has a special affinity for calcium. This is where the so-called “benefit” comes in. The claim that the teeth become harder and resist cavities is like saying the hardened scar from an injury on soft tissue is better then the original soft tissue itself.

When a poisonous substance like fluoride is introduced into the body, the body first tries to remove it as quickly as possible. Because it likes calcium so well it is attracted to and stored in our teeth and bones before it can be eliminated. The teeth and bones then react upon this deadly poisonous substance, and builds a protective layer, encapsulating the fluoride preventing it from doing harm. This hardening is called osteosclerosis. With continued use of the poison fluoride, the teeth will eventually lose the battle and become brittle and crack. Osteoporosis has then occurred in the teeth as well as the bones.

The harm fluoride causes to our teeth and bones are just the tip of the iceberg. There are hosts of other serious problems linked to its use including accelerated aging and cancer.

There really is no benefit in having fluoride in our water, or for that matter in our toothpaste. It is a great fraud presented to us in disguise, as a protector of our teeth. The only benefit is for the industry that doesn’t have to pay large sums to have this hazardous waste removed from their property. Instead, they are paid handsomely for it, and it is used for our so-called “benefit”. It’s a sad statement, but in the name of profit they are not concerned with human health.

Few are aware of the dangers of fluoride and are not even given an informed choice. If we were armed with information, then we could decide whether we wanted to drink tap water, buy water or distill our own water.

There are many sincere people who have been fooled in to the belief that fluoride is a savior of teeth. This just goes to show how money and influence can change a nations thinking. If you would like to learn more about fluoride; the history, the studies, the harms, the facts, there is a great book by Dr. John Yiamouyiannis, called “Fluoride, the Aging Factor”. He is a top scientist in this field. If you would like to read this book (Click here)

Now lets look at distilled water. This is water in its purest form, void of all minerals, chemicals, sediment, bacteria and other pollutants. There are those who claim distilled water is dead water. This is ridiculous! Is water ever “alive”? Water with minerals is not alive. The same goes for water with chemicals, sediment and pollutants. Of course you wouldn’t consciously want to drink water with these in it.

Some life that you could find in water would be bacteria, parasites and microscopic single celled organisms, which I think most would consciously avoid if they knew of their existence in the water. The argument that distilled water is “dead” is an empty one. If anything, the minerals and chemicals in tap water can turn life into death.

Waters main role in the human body is to serve as a transportation medium. It transports needed nutrients throughout the body for building, and transports the waste out to be eliminated. Water that is heavily laden with inorganic minerals and other pollutants will have a reduced ability to serve the transport needs of the blood, making the bloods job less efficient.

Imagine a mailman carrying a heavy bag full of junk mail, then when he gets to your house you hand him a stack of important mail, as do your neighbors. With a frown on his face he has to take it. You watch him walk down the street, knees buckling, sweating profusely, shaking, ready to collapse. So exhausted is he that your important mail ends up spilling out onto the street not getting to its destination. This mailman could be compared to the heavy inorganic mineral laden water in your blood, which is not able to transport the important nutrients efficiently.

The body has to purify the water we drink first before it gets used and then eliminate the inorganic mineral residue. These processes are at the expense of the body’s vitality and will drain ones health. Lowered vitality will lessen elimination of inorganic minerals causing them not to be removed completely, and then, combine chemically and physically with other body waste clogging and hardening the body.

Pure distilled water is free to carry more nutrition in and more waste out, allowing for greater efficiency, therefore, the better it can serve the whole body. It must be remembered that the body gets all the useable organic minerals it needs from eating raw fruit and vegetables, nuts and seeds. Organic minerals are not a drain on the body’s vitality; they enhance it.

Distilled water will actually carry the harmful inorganic minerals out of the body and leave the organic minerals in the tissues where they belong.

An excellent booklet by Dr. Allen E. Banik, called “The Choice Is Clear” is an informative writing about water and how it can bring you vibrant good health, or rob you of it. I strongly suggest reading it.  (Click here)
